
Guptkashi: The administration has accelerated its efforts to construct a sub-district hospital in Guptkashi. On Thursday, a joint team from the health department, public works department, water supply department, and revenue department conducted a final site inspection in Guptkashi before selecting the land.
Dr. HCS Martolia, the Chief Medical Officer, stated that a plot of land measuring approximately 4,000 square meters with 50 beds has been initially selected for the construction of the sub-district hospital near the access road to the Gadhwal Mandal Development Corporation rest house in Guptkashi. He mentioned that the local inspection was conducted before giving the final nod to the land selection by the health department, revenue department, project management office, and water supply unit.
Dr. Martolia also mentioned that the plot of land had been marked and had adjacent roads on both sides. Additionally, the plot is adjacent to the land of the silk department and the public works department, which can also be acquired if needed.
He further informed that the water supply unit in Srinagar has been asked to prepare a survey within a week, after which further action will be taken. Following the site inspection, a meeting was held in the CMO’s office to discuss the next steps.
