Kedarnath : Due to a glacier breaking on the Kedarnath Yatra route, a significant portion of the pedestrian footpath has collapsed, resulting in the closure of the path. The workers responsible for clearing the route are encountering incredibly challenging conditions, with fresh snowfall constantly ruining their progress. The journey to Kedarnath Dham was scheduled to begin on April 25th, and the pedestrian route was being cleared for the Kedarnath Yatra. However, due to the continuous snowfall over the past week, reconstruction efforts have been delayed, and workers are struggling to clear the footpaths.
This morning, when the workers arrived at the site to continue their snow-clearing work, they were shocked to discover that the path they had painstakingly cleared for the devotees was missing. Upon inspection, they realized that a glacier had broken at Bhairav Gadera, causing extensive damage to the road. The once-beautiful route for horse-mules and common devotees to travel has vanished overnight, leaving behind only devastation.
The workers are hoping for an end to the snowfall so that they can continue their efforts. The pedestrian route to Kedarnath has been closed due to the glacier breaking, and it is unclear when it will reopen. The reconstruction work is dependent on the weather, and until it improves, the route will remain closed.
